What sets it apart: The Travel Channel ranked La Costa the “No. 2 Most Family-Friendly Resort in the U.S.,” in large part due to its kids club and separate teen lounge. But that doesn't mean it's not ideal for a long romantic weekend—especially for golfers and spa enthusiasts. The Chopra Center for Well Being enhances the spa experience with yoga, meditation, and Ayurvedic spa therapies. And with three restaurants, a fitness center and four heated pools, there's no reason to leave the 400-acre resort.

Signature Treatment for her: The Indochine Indulgence is the ultimate departure – 2 hours and 40 minutes of pure indulgence beginning with a brown sugar & Dead Sea salt scrub. Tired muscles are soothed in an Egyptian milk bath, followed by a 60-minute massage using Marine Qi Balm and Ayurvedic oil. The finale is a decadent body wrap .

Signature treatment for him: Geared at enhancing and invigorating sports performance, the 80-minute Sports Massage is beneficial before and after the tennis match or golf game. A pre-game massage uses invigorating strokes and incorporates range of motion stretching. The post-game massage uses slower, longer strokes and stretching to lengthen tight, tense muscles.
