Spa at Home

Soak It Up
Todayís tubs are made for long, relaxing baths

One of the key elements to creating a spa-like environment at home is the tub. After all, what better way to end a hectic day than with a nice, long, soothing soak? Itís a tradition in Japanese households, and today, more and more bath manufacturers are incorporating the philosophy into their tub designs. Take for instance the Duravit Sundeck, which is 18 inches deep as opposed to the 14 or 16 inches typical of American-designed tubs. Equipped with LED chromatherapy lights, foot and back massagers, and available in a weatherproof version that can take the place of a hot tubóitís as fancy as soaking tubs come. Of course, there are other options if youíre looking for more of a sculptural work of art or a large slab of exotic stoneÖ
